From the mind of the designer of one of the world's most iconic guitars comes the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic. It is an electric guitar with a familiar fifties T-style single-cutaway body smothered in a modern gravy. Just like the 1951 original (designed by the L from G&L: Leo Fender) the ASAT Classic also features a beautifully grained ash body. Unlike its 1951 predecessor, the ASAT Classic is equipped with a set of special G&L MFD single-coil pickups, as well as a unique G&L Saddle Lock bridge. The budget-friendly Tribute version offers a pleasurable experience for your eyes and ears.

G&L Tribute ASAT Classic: cut from the right stuff

The body of this guitar is made of Swamp Ash, a lightweight type of wood that has a beautiful grain and a full, deep tone with sparkling trebles. This version of the Tribute ASAT Classic sports a classic Tobacco Sunburst lacquer finish. Additionally, its fretboard is made of maple instead of rosewood for that bit of extra treble bite. To stick with the overall vintage feel, the maple neck features a yellow-tinted high-gloss finish. Playability has been massively improved however, thanks to a modern, relatively flat 9-inch fretboard radius and 22 medium jumbo frets.

G&L USA pickups and hardware

The G&L Tribute ASAT Classic is equipped with the exact same hardware and electronics as its American brothers. For instance, there's a G&L Magnetic Field Design single-coil pickup in both the neck and the bridge position. The bridge pickup is mounted onto the steel bridge, allowing for a clear attack and complex harmonics. The neck pickup produces a rich, full sound that is suitable for anything from jazz to rugged blues. The bridge of the ASAT Classic is a traditional Ash Tray type, only with six adjustable brass saddles for an optimal intonation per string.
